Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: March 2025
By joining the House Sitting Collective Affiliate Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Application & Approval
All affiliates must apply through our official sign-up form. Each application is reviewed manually, and approval is granted at our discretion.
This programme is best suited to those with relevant audiences, such as travel bloggers, pet professionals, or individuals serving slow-travel or house-sitting-curious audiences.
Participation is voluntary and does not create any employment, agency, or partnership relationship between you and House Sitting 101 or The House Sitting Collective.
2. Commission & Tracking
Commission rates are confirmed upon approval and apply to eligible course sales tracked through your unique affiliate link.
Commissions are tracked using a 30-day browser cookie within the Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”) affiliate system. If a customer purchases within 30 days of clicking your link, and that visit originated from your referral, the sale will be credited to you.
We cannot manually assign commissions if tracking conditions are not met.
3. Payout Schedule
- Payouts are made on the first business day of each month.
- A 30-day holding period applies to all commissions to allow for refunds, chargebacks, or disputes.
- All payments are made via PayPal in USD.
- You are responsible for providing an accurate PayPal email at sign-up.
- Payments under USD 20 may roll over to the next cycle.
- Affiliates are responsible for any PayPal fees or currency-conversion costs.
4. Promotional Guidelines
You are welcome to reference our brand names and courses (e.g. The House Sitting Collective, House Sitting 101, Booked Solid!).
However, affiliates may not run paid advertisements targeting our brand names, course titles, or domain-related keywords. This includes Google Ads, Facebook Ads, or any other paid search or display advertising.
Discount codes provided to affiliates are for your audience only and may not be posted on public coupon or deal sites.
You must not:
- Misrepresent course content, pricing, or outcomes.
- Spam, mislead, or use unethical marketing tactics.
- Present yourself as an employee, agent, or spokesperson for House Sitting 101 or The House Sitting Collective.
All promotional activity must comply with the UK Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and FTC disclosure guidelines. Affiliates must clearly identify affiliate links or promotions as such in their content.
We reserve the right to remove any affiliate who violates these terms.
5. Brand Usage
You may use our approved promotional images, course descriptions, and your own authentic experience-based summaries. Do not alter our logos or create modified versions of brand assets.
“House Sitting 101” is a registered trademark in the United Kingdom. Affiliates may reference this name only for factual promotion of our courses and may not imply endorsement, ownership, or partnership.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate your affiliate account at any time, with or without cause.
You may also terminate participation at any time by notifying us in writing.
Commissions accrued but unpaid at the time of termination may, at our discretion, be paid if the termination was not due to breach of these Terms.
7. Modifications
These Terms may be updated periodically. Material changes will be communicated to the email address on file; minor revisions may be posted on this page without prior notice. Continued participation in the affiliate programme constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
8. Liability and Governing Law
We make no representation or guarantee of income or specific results from participation in the affiliate programme. Earnings will vary among individuals.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any loss or damage arising from your participation.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, and any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
